What's your turnaround time?
I will usually ship your order the same day or by the next business day and shipping confirmation for domestic US orders is sent automatically when I print your shipping label. If you don't see it, please check your spam folder before contacting me. If you have concerns, feel free to contact me by email and I will assist you. International orders sent by USPS 1st class mail do not have tracking but there will be a Customs Declaration number that accompanies your order.

How does shipping work in the U.S?
I use USPS priority mail with delivery confirmation and charge a flat rate of $8.75 on domestic US orders. Small orders like a few samples or a single tub of shaving soap are sent in a padded mailer by First Class with tracking for $5.00. There is free USPS shipping on all domestic orders over $75 (UPS and FEDEX delivery service are not included in this offer and must be paid by the customer).

What about sales tax?
Maryland residents will be charged 6% sales tax on their orders. In accordance with state law, this includes application of sales tax to shipping and handling charges.

What about out-of-stock items?
It's important that the email address on your order is correct. I will try to contact you and offer a refund or see if you have an alternate choice.
If an out-of-stock soap is ordered and I have a batch curing and almost ready, I may send it to you unwrapped with instructions on how long to wait before using it, allowing you to receive all of your items together rather than waiting or having to reorder.
What is your return policy?
We encourage you to try samples and ask questions before placing an order, to be sure that you will be satisfied with the product. Because of the nature of our product, we do not accept returns or give refunds unless we have sent you the wrong item by mistake. Our market season starts on the last Saturday in April at the Festival of Tea, Herbs, and the Arts held annually in the gardens of the Montpelier House Museum in Laurel, Maryland.
We will be at the Greenbelt Farmer's market on Sundays from 10 am until 2 pm, from mid-May until the weekend before Thanksgiving.
Are your products available in stores?
Mystic Water Soap does not sell wholesale to stores. My products are available online and at some local markets and festivals in the DC/MD/NoVA area. One exception: Smile Herb Shop in College Park, MD offers a limited selection of my products for local customers.
Do you ship internationally?
Yes. I use the USPS but please be aware that 1st class International Mail (the most economical way to send packages) DOES NOT include tracking. International packages will have a Customs Declaration form number, which in some places can be used to see if the package has entered the country, but it does not provide dependable tracking. If you require tracking on your package, there are services like Priority that are more expensive, but also faster. All international orders placed online will be subsequently charged for actual shipping costs. My shopping cart does not calculate postage on international orders. When I receive an order, I pack and weigh it to determine exact postage, and then send a second invoice for the shipping charge. As soon as that is paid, the package will be sent.

What are the costs of international shipping?
As of January 21, 2024, a single refill puck, tub of soap, or up to three sets of samples costs $15.75 to ship to Canada and $17.65 to most other countries. A box weighing between 8.1 ounces and 2 pounds costs $23.40 to Canada, and $28.05 elsewhere (but price increases can happen at any time). A two-pound box can contain up to six refill pucks, or three tubs of soap and one refill puck, or many other combinations of products. The packaging material also counts towards the weight allowance, but I always try to eliminate unnecessary excess weight. Over two pounds, the price increases with every additional pound. If you prefer to pay all at once, you may contact me directly at info@mysticwatersoap.com to place your order by email and I will send you a single invoice to pay online that will include shipping charges. Applicable customs fees are the responsibility of the customer, and Mystic Water Soap is not responsible for packages that are delayed in Customs. Some countries have very lengthy Customs procedures, so please be patient while waiting for your shipment. I cannot send the package unless the shipping is paid. I will try to contact you by email, and send Paypal reminders, but if the shipping is not paid within a week and emails go unanswered, I will issue a refund and cancel the order.
